    Hi Fellows,
I'm just a rookie in the Ferrari ranks but I want to offer a suggestion to all.
I go out to take my Ferrari on another quick ride and get in the car as usual. I click on my key fob and nothing... no beep and flashing signal on dash! Dang. Okay, so I reach for my thoroughly highly regarded RED key and click on that key fob. Nothing. Now I'm sitting in my garage with no means to go! A bit disappointing to say the least.
Long story short; I took one fob apart and figured out what was the battery... it actually looked like a little round battery and not the usual coin shaped battery in most fobs so that baffled me a minute until I took a second look.
I had to drive my big red suburban up to Rite-Aid to search for a battery... I'll admit I had my fingers crossed on the way there. After studying the extensive array of batteries with nearly all of them hidden behind new sale stickers; I found what I hoped was a match. Clerk said she thought it was so I bought TWO pair... they came two to a package. They cost about a dime over three dollars each... who in the world has paid so little for an apparently crucial part for their Ferrari?!! I told the clerk the battery prices should be adjusted upward at least ten-fold... can't have such cheap parts in a Ferrari.:D
Anyway, the batteries worked and I replaced them in the both fobs. Then I took the extra pack of batteries and stored them in my Ferrari in the little interior storage box.
I suggest that each of you get by your Rite-Aid and do the same.;)
I know I'm a rookie but I don't want to get caught in this situation again... the batteries expire in 2025 I think but I might just replace them in the storage box in 2024!;)
I hope this tip helps some of y'all.
I was sweating the situation for awhile... thank goodness for Rite-Aid.
I'm thinking of giving the little battery packs as gifts to the fellows that show up for a hoped for DIY meeting in the near future.:)
Some of y'all might want to give something really useful to your Ferrari pals as well.
    All the best,
    Al

Another cautionary note....don't leave the batteries in the spare fob....bad things happen and even though that fob is 80's tech...it does have a Ferrari price tag.
