    I'm looking at the new Raleigh Rush Hour bicycle. It's basically a track bike with brakes. Other than having a single gear, which limits the terrain you ride, are there any other negatives? Has anyone here tried a single gear bike for daily use?

    I have. Great for building muscles. Also great for injuries if you go at it too hard from the get go. How much experience do you have? How strong are your legs/cardio system?
