    Jochen Rindt won the 1969 United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York. Driving Colin Chapman's #2 Gold Leaf Team Lotus Lotus 49-Cosworth, Rindt led 99 laps of the 108-lap FIA Formula One Series race. Piers Courage finished second in Frank Williams' #18 Brabham BT26-Cosworth, with John Surtees in Sir Alfred Owen's #14 BRM completing the podium.
