What I don't get is WHY someone would fake it. Especially on this site. We welcome all Ferrari fans. We even have a moderator that doesn't even own a Ferrari, yet. Plus as the rest of the boys said, our FChat detectives are some of the best out there.

Actually, this isn't so much a goof off board (except P&R and off topic) as a valuable resource for those of us that actually own these cars or are looking to buy one.

We're not trying to keep newbies out of the Ferrari world and we actively encourage new people to the marque, we've all got to start somewhere. But if you come here just to build up an imaginary world for yourself, you've come to the wrong place.

On Pprune.com (a pilot website) they say on the homepage that pretenders will be exposed and ridiculed to no end as a form of enjoyment for others (or so I interpreted it).

Maybe we should post something like this as a sticky here........

I liked an old thread, about this dude in "Germany" who was supposed to be royalty and owned a huge ferrari collection which he rented out (including an Enzo) but turned out to be an American dude with a post box somewhere in Nevada.

I think it looks great. I worked on a light blue metallic Porsche '83 cab with gold BBS rims and it looks stunning, actually. On the right car, they do wonders.

i likewise will come clean, as if i was ever dirty.

i drive a red head, she's a beauty, but she's not an itallian. additionally, i'm far younger than most users here. I am only 19 years old, an Fcar is not in my future for another 5-10 years.

additionally, i pay for my car. my parents do not pay 1 cent for it, i won't even allow them to. I feel that when someone pays for a car they are entitled to drive it, needless to say, nobody will be driving my car for a long while
