Yes. One of 14 GTB in rhd. Of total 137. I am very keen to learn what it's color combo was as my gut says it was not red or no burgundy seats. It doesn't match. Maybe yellow white blue or silver with burgundy seats or red with black seats.
Cool man, if you are that close to the car or can make a phone call, ask them to check out the engine paint code sticker under the rear engine cover. That will tell you straight away. But I also think the interior was removed from another car and fitted to this car also. I have seen many black 348s with this interior, never seen a red car with this interior before.
Didn't see but might have missed what is the plate, the other one is just tyres but doesn't seem oversprayed or they replaced it on colour change? No takers on the vin? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
They are the engine code build plate and tyre placard. VIN number on the windscreen if it still has the original windscreen, steering column plastic surrounds, inside door jam and stamped in the engine cradle also. Some examples of the door jam vin plate and the vin stamped on the engine cradle. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is what the engine cover paint code sticker should look like, it will tell which colour the car was originally painted. If it's still got the original engine cover still on it lol. And this is what the steering column surrounds VIN plate looks like. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cool man, a quick search on my end shows that it's a genuine 348 GTB rhd car built for the UK market. That is all I can tell you, but if I have some time I can look into it next week on my days off and see if I can see what else I can come up with.
Also some other information came from the french 348 registry that this possibly was a white 348 originally. Which only 10 or so we're made in euro spec. Being a 14 out of 137 and then factory white with red interior would make this a real unicorn if true. Research continues. Low mileage of around 28k and owner just did cambelts and fuelpumps. There was a book which said this car was red with crema interior but the 348 registry guy said differently. Car originally sold in Scotland to John m Fickling. Could it be an ugly duckling that became a swan? A white tb for reference.
After the initial confusion with the french 348 guy it's now confirmed it's a red car and had cream interior originaly. He still had all the trim and is likely selling this car soon to make place for a 550 spider if anyone looking for a RHD gtb.
Correct me if I am wrong but although you can fit a 355 strakeless panel to a 355 I'm not sure you can fit a 348 straked panel to a 355 without modification. I say this because on a 348 the push button to unlock the door is in the door key surround whereas on a 355 you reach under the lower panel to pull the release so I am guessing a 348 panel would interfere with this. Another de-straked car... Image Unavailable, Please Login
