I've seen it in old crappy cars like my Fiat X1/9... but I would be heading straight to the dealer on an under-warranty almost-new Ferrari. Sounds like some kind of electronic gremlin with the locking mechanism.

The same thing happened to me when my 430 was new. The dealer told me to pull it as hard as I can. I laughed and figured wtf. Well, it was just sticky, it has loosened up and now works fine.

It happened to me a few times with different cars. In my case, it was not any kind of electrical gremlin: the metal bar wich goes from the handle to the lock just got loose. Easy to fix, you can do it yourself, but being under warranty, I wouldn´t bother.

my dealer had to replace the latch inside the door. they'd never seen this before. replaced in a couple of hours. no big deal.

If it makes you feel any better, the same thing happened to my Daytona in 1978. Being the only Ferrari mechanic in Clovis, NM, I fixed it. You luckily, do not have to, but it is a pain crawling over the center console unless you remember to leave the window down.
