OK, I would like to pick your brains a bit...

We have been offered to retail / distribute the range of A1 GP merchandise and I would like to poll "the market" to see if there is any interest in it.

As you probably know, the A1 GP Series consists solely of national teams and each team has been assigned a similar range of merchandise.

I don't have all the visuals yet at this moment so I picked the Italian team to keep it as close to our our mutual interest as possible.

For each participating nation these is the following line up of articles with prices which include everything, shipping, taxes etc.. In between brackets are the approximate prices in Euros):

    Flag T-shirt (2 color options): US$ 34.99 (Euro 30.00)
    Ladies Top: US$ 34.99 (Euro 30.00)
Flag Polo Shirt (2 color options): US$ 49.99 (Euro 42.00)
Replica Team Shirt (no visuals yet): US$ 129.99 (Euro 96.00)
    Cap / Hat: US$ 32.99 (Euro 27.00).

Is this stuff that you guys would buy?

If you're a Fchat member, you would again get 10% discount on these items but please leave this out of"judgement" on the articles / prices.

May I have your votes please?

    Thank you in advance.

Jack, I've got to go with "possibly". I'm a habitual impulse-shopper, usually at the race track after 17 beers. I think that, once people are able to (hopefully) see the series and get a little more into it, then maybe pick up some gear. Do you know who's behind the designs?

    Hi Jack,

to be honest the A1 GP series still has to grow on me too.

As far as I know, the design came from the organizers themselves and it is pretty standard for each country, just the text (name of the team) and the flag changes + some of the base colors are different.

The prices seems a little up there for me especially since the series is not that well known yet. Just my take

Ditto that. The reason I asked was because I've always been interested in the merchandising end of racing, F1 in particular. And I've always felt there were so many unexploited ideas but nobody ever wants you to tell them how they should do their job.

Well, the prices are shipping included. Take that out and you're around the $ 25 - 27 $ mark for a t-shirt.

I was pleasantly surprised by the design, not so "LOUD".

The prices do seem a tad high and I'm in Canada so add another 15-20% to the price, double the shipping and add 20% for import duties and that's what the Canadians will deal with. But if they are supplied in Canada, then we're set.

We ship it around the world for the indicated prices.

Normal practice is that Canadian customers don't have to pay any import duties (at least they never relay any complaints about it) so basically you should be set at the prices in my first message.
