What are the groups thoughts/ideas on the recent sales???

Seems to be strong prices with new folks spending dollars/pounds/euros!

I was privi to an off site sale of a very nice driver, 62 GTIS nearing $100K.

    ~Ciao and best!

In brief I'd just say super eligible, highly competitive cars that are undervalued relative to some of their period peers. Compare the 200S price and rarity to a C or a D Type or a sports racing Ferrari from the same era - it is a quicker, better handling car for less money. Similarly the A6 - think of the same era MM eligible Ferrari and the $ check involved is double in many cases. Multiples if that Ferrari came a few years later and perhaps had a Zagato (or even just aluminium!!!) body.
Add to that the special historical nuances of 2401 and you have a car that (as someone commented on this website the other day) was probably well bought.
OK just one mans opinion but like you I'd be intrigued to hear what others think.
