Does anyone have knowledge on the spec's for AAV (Aux Air Valves) 1982 GTSi or others....

Would be interesting to know what the factory specs were for many p/n's to aid in trouble shooting and replacement choice.

    Mine is:
    280 140 129

    Have seen in the market:
    280 140 124
    280 140 125

I just assume that Bosch thought they had bettered the design a good number of times. Other cars with the system have multiple numbers of different AAV's, without a specification for serial numbers or markets.
There may be a difference for the cat and non-cat cars, but I think the differences are marginal at best.

Wayne, why are you replacing the AAV?..or was it just missing. I think you have a 2v 308, & if I'm correct I have the PN's from my 2v. I will need to check but can you tell us whats going on w/the AAV?

The AAV does not open all the way it only opens about 1/4 - I tried to loosen the hex nut and push the valve back and snug the hex nut. But no change. It closes in the oven but jumps right back to 1/4 open a min or two out of the oven. Thinking I've messed up the setting now.

Until part warm the engine will not hi-idle unless I disconnect the vac advance/retard line from the Digiplex then it warms up fine and I re-connect it when part warm. I've just sent my WUR to Larry for rebuild and we feel there may be a vac leak in the AAV or? I will also set my plate height and t-plate when the WUR is back on.
