On another forum, someone posted these this morning. They talked to neighbors and said it was parked near a couple burned out mobile homes. I tried to see if others have posted about this car to no avail.
Hopefully it's not a well known car that I just don't know how to search to find.

The person who took the pics says it has been there a couple years, to me it looks like it had a cover on it that eventually/recently crumbled away. He said it is in central Texas - and that the neighbors said it has been sitting there for years. They don't want to say exactly where it is, but they "couldn't find a VIN," and plan to return in a week to try to get more information. They said there is a spot on the windshield with a cutout for a VIN, but nothing there. I know on our older Ferraris, the VIN is on top of the steering column and inside the driver's side door jamb.

Abandoned? Stolen? I have no idea, but still thought it deserved to be shared in case someone recognizes it..

My Ferrari is in perfect condition. I think I'll park it in this field for 10 years.

I always joked when I was younger that I would have the only Ferrari in my trailer park.

Apparently, someone beat me to it.

$130,000 FIRM. I KNOW WHAT THIS CAR IS WORTH.

It couldn't be a spider that has gone "missing" could it.. ;) No VIN visible and all..

Looks like someone is trying to keep it in "alright alright alright" condition. Headlights protected from UV via the floatie thing, some sort of doormat over the rear and rags+tire on the roof for waterproofing. I mean an outdoor cover would be better but seems someone is trying....something

You can pickup cheap car covers for about $30 bucks. Not sure why the tire approach was taken.

Because it's likely being kept by someone that has a slight hoarder mentality. Care of items is last place. I'm sure the bare minimum was done when the car was parked and now it's just one of those things they'll "get around to." Might as well be a 1980's firebird or something. My guess is that a relative that owned it died and left it to this person as next of kin type thing but they're obviously in a situation that prevents them from maintaining it or caring for it but also of the mindset that it's a Ferrari so it's worth a fortune and likely turns away any reasonable offers.

I wonder if this entire thing is a scam or setup. It might be nothing more than something to create clicks on a video or website. Look at the car. The paint is shiny and clean. It's under a tree but has no leaves or tree debris on it. There's nothing on the windshield except clean glass. I'd expect the car to be covered in bird poop too. It's not. Look under it. The grass is still alive. There would be a dirt band near the bottom of the car from mud splashing up during a rainstorm if it had been there for more than a couple of weeks. The tires are inflated and there's no sign that the car has actually been sitting more than a day in that position.

There is no abandoned 360 Spider abandoned in Texas.

so suspect.....area looks "shabby" to say the least, mobile homes, and a red Ferrari spider abandoned in the middle of nowhere basically. Modular wheels, rear challenge grille, shields, tire on top of soft top, what looks like a door mat covering the engine bay.....nothing out of the norm here folks....LOL....

surface rust on rotors doesn't change anything mechanically, but it may indicate real problems with brake lines or pistons or maybe even bearings.

    Who knows.

    1) I did my ASE Autotech courses with a kid who had a "undocumented" C5, that was a newish car at the time. He had obviously acquired it black market and couldn't be caught driving it. He only brought it to class once to show it off and was still so nervous. I think there are many cars out there "under wraps".

    2) A couple years ago my bank President brought me out to look at a beat up F1 355 he had a lien on. I could have bought it for $30k. This was before the 355's shot up, but even with that running the numbers it would have been 100% headache for 10% profit on even the best day.
