Just the thought of authorities manhandling my NNO (if i had one) makes me shiver... Of course, i'm equally repulsed and curious all at the same time, that the owner would just leave it there, unlocked. Does anyone know if the owner was ever found...? Folks with NNOs obviously have money; folks with that kind of money are USUALLY in positions of power; folks in positions of power are respected, feared and sometimes, sought - in a kidnapping sort of way - so that money/power can be gained by POSESSING them... Anyone have any ideas/thoughts...? Can anyone in Iceland stop by and check on the NNO, make sure it's okay...? You know, talk to it, calm its nerves, sooth it a bit... Maybe play some music to relax it... Pet it, reassure it that everything will be alright...? Anyone...? Beuller...?
yeah this one is here in iceland , it´s in sweden for repairs the owner is a fashion designer and married to a model ... anyone know him ? his a collector he has one lamborghini Gallardo for sale on www.bilasolur.is . The clutch went while a guy got to test drive it , he left it abbandoned and unlocked wich isn´t that scary when you think of it here in iceland not like it´s going anywhere with a broken clutch . p.s The owner was ofcourse contacted , and so was the test driver don´t feel bad he got to hear a few things
here are a few pics of it at the auto show here in iceland... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anybody know what a clutch for an Enzo costs? Or do you get a x(?)year warranty or something? I don't know Ferrari's policy concerning warrantys, maybe concerning the enzo Ferrari has a different policy?
Must have been rather humbling to see all those Hondas, Toyotas, and other assorted clunkers driving by while your $650,000 Ferrari is broken down on the roadside because Ferrari doesn't possess the 50 year old technology to build a clutch that will last like any other vehicle.
the Ferrari badge and Vin number plate well HorseFly the owner was home in germany when this happened , so he didn´t see it happen .
Im on my way, flight leaves from DIA at 8:35 tomorrow morning ill tell it you sent me and that you love it very much
don´t know him , but i´ve talked to him a few times ... i´m not in the fashion designers world so i would not know if he´s famous , but he´s german in his early 40´s .
Give me your Honda and Toyota, I can kill that clutch in 10 minutes for you. For some drivers you cannot make a good enough clutch ... they have to drive a good old fashioned auto Saying that I thought the Enzo used a computer to control the clutch ... ???? Pete
Uhhhhh exactly which manufacturer is it that builds cars with 650+hp and paddle shifting gearboxes with automatic clutch actuation that can shift in 200 milliseconds..... AND has a clutch that lasts as long as any "any other vehicle" ? Im quite sure that if Ferrari was simply focused on building a clutch that would last 100k miles, they could accomplish that. However that is not what the Enzo is designed for and owners accept that. Clearly a car like a Ferrari is not for you. I suggest a used Toyota B210. That seems about your speed Terry
So the Enzo, a $650,000 car, was designed to break down and sit by the side of the road while less expensive cars drove on past? Seems to me that a SIX HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLAR CAR should operate a little more reliably than that. If Ferrari built a jet fighter plane, the propeller powered crop dusters would be dumping piles of manure on the Ferrari plane as it sat on the runway with that kind of reliability.
Thanks, Alex... Tell it that i love it and that i'm sorry it's having a difficult time right now but that things will get better... Tell it that it can call me whenever, if it ever just wants to talk... Oh and could you give it a kiss and hug for me...? Thanks, buddy... i'm right there with you, Pete; i never met a clutch i didn't think i could burn out and i never met an engine block i couldn't crack...
This reminds me of that thread a little while back about an Enzo in New York and while they were driving it around bits of carbon fibre started falling off. Then the electrics packed up and it needed a tow. If you own an Enzo maybe you should just garage it and behold it's beauty. It's all been downhill since the Daytona.
the ferrari is now in germany again with it´s owner , The owner is a car collector and has apparently in his collection Porsche Carrera GT one of the first to be delivered. a bunch of other Porsches , Ferrari Enzo , and some others . Lamborghini Gallardo , Murcielago and a Diablo. all porsches are bought through Iceland´s porsche dealer Bílabúð Benna . this is not guaranteed info , but it´s the word on the street i know the Enzo , carrera GT , Gallardo are real cause they have all been here to iceland and the Gallardo is for sale here
