    Hi all
I have a 308 GTB euro carb dry sump version. In the last years its value has gone really high up! During the last 5 years has almost dubbled its price. In the contrary, the 355 has gone down, so I was thinking on investing on a 355. Anyway I really like this car. So I have three questions in thoughts I would like to share.
    1. Should I sell my 308 in order to buy a 355 and have some more money or not? I love both cars and my 308 has been very honest car for the last 5 years that i have it. Would it be a wise move?
    2. Which version of 355 would be best and why?
    3. My 308 is a really reliable car. Is the 355 the same? what are its disadvantages?

    Thank you all

    George

All I can say is once you buy a 355 you may as well sell your 308..........cause you'll never drive it again.

I would want both, but this is true. I'm not sure how many miles the 308 would really get at this point.

As a monetary investment it's a poor decision imo. Very poor. As a happiness investment, your money won't be better spent.

Do not buy it as an investment, buy it because it's the car you want.

The 355 can be reliable, it really depends on the maintenance history, usage and miles. If it has been well maintained and regularly used, it should be reliable at this point. If it hasn't been either of those, it can be very (very) expensive.

Repeat: It is a poor investment and any gains in the next few years are likely to be eaten up in maintenance. But for my money, there's no better Ferrari available anywhere near it's price point even factoring in maintenance. Realize that it barely weighs more than the 308 and has 120 more HP with handling to match.

I have a 308 GTB and bought a 355 last year. If you can, keep the 308. It will likely continue to appreciate and they are great driver's cars. I do admit that I don't drive the 308 as much anymore, but that's more of a conscious decision to keep the miles down. From an investment point of view the 308 is probably the of the two. Frankly, I would sell the 355 before the 308 if I needed to. It's a lot easier to replace a 355 than a good 308.
