About to close on a 599 HGTE - anyone know anything about this VIN?

    Hi all,

    I've been lurking around the forum for a long time learning from all you guys. I'm finally about to pull the trigger on a beautiful 2010 599 with the HGTE package. This is my first F car and I'm really excited about it - however I'm also a bit worried about the history of the car, as I am importing it from abroad. (It's getting a proper check at an authorized dealer, but still).

    So, it would be great if anyone could share information on the following VIN, if you happen to know anything. (I've already joined f-register.com, unfortunately this is on their unknown list)

    Hi, Ron - welcome to the fray, although I see you registered quite some time ago. Unfortunately, I don't have any history on this car, and I double checked F-Register.com, and their entry is blank as well. Sorry. Can you tell us a little bit about it though? Where it's located, through it's for sale, and to where you'll be importing it? Do you have any pictures of it? Do you know the colors and options? Is it a stick, or does it have paddles? Since I don't have any history on it, I'd like to update my information accordingly. Thank you.

    Yes indeed, back in 2006 I was deciding between a 360 versus a Porsche 996 Turbo, and ended up with the Porsche. Still have the car and loving every bit of it, but finally the timing is right for me to add an F-car to the stable.

    The car is currently in Italy and is being bought from a private seller. If things go well and I close the deal, it'll be imported here to Tokyo, Japan.

    Color is Rosso Fuoco. AT car. The car got the HGTE package, GTO front grille and 4-point harness seatbelts, among other things.

    I don't have a lot of pictures on it as the car is still in Italy. Attached a few taken by the agent - quality of the pics is so-so though and doesnt do the car justice. Gonna take some better ones against the beautiful countryside of Japan when it arrives!

    I'd be interested to hear who is your agent and how you do a PPI - can you send me a PM?

    Buying from Italy is interesting judging from the prices, however I don't know how I would get my interests protected and a PPI done.

    Beautiful car, Ron - how'd it go? Did the deal go well? Have you taken delivery? Does this car have a stick, or F1 paddles? Was it an HGTE from the factory, or did it receive HGTE modifications through the former owner?

    Hi, the deal was done. Car is arriving in Japan next week and it'll take 2 weeks for clearing customs and registration. It'll be a long 2 week for me, cant wait to have my hands on her!

    It is a F1 paddles car with HGTE from the factory.
