hi I have a 03 360 mint with a TUBI. I want it louder and think I can get a good deal on Ferrari factory racing exhaust. I am told this is louder. I have also read that it can detract from the power which obviously is not something I want. any recs would be most appreciated. thanks!!!

Youre not getting much if any power from just a cat-back exhaust. With that in mind, mufflers are just a sound and weight upgrade.

If you have the quite tubi then yes, factory racing is louder especially if you fly with flaps open at all times. And youre getting the best fitting and engineered exhaust.

I am doing the same. Factory racing exhaust is also lighter than the Tubi and more free-flowing at WOT.

I've Googled Ferrari Factory Racing Exhaust for the F430 but didn't come up with anything. Would someone be able to send be a link or point me in the right direction.

    Thank!

Factory racing exhaust was an option on 360. For 430 ferrari used the racing exhaust as standard equipment so if you have a 430 you already have it

I have the Tubi on my 360 Spider and 100% happy with it.

Not too loud that my neighbors will hate me and loud enough and sounds awesome when I mash the pedals without making my ears ring as mine is a convertible / Spider version.

It all boils down to personal taste. Do whatever makes you happy. Its your car.

Factory Racing exhaust comes down in price now big time that its a great upgrade.
    You have my vote.

I have installed and Dyno tested a Tubi rear muffler and tips on my 2003 360 Spider. TUBI 360 mufflers are a nice piece that saves weight and added +10HP at the wheels.

The factory muffler is a big heavy box.

Since you already have the lightweight Tubi and it is a quality muffler I would keep it and upgrade the other exhaust parts to make some serious and significant sports car sound and power.

On my 360 I have a Tubi installed and a set of Fabspeed headers and HJS sports racing catalytic converters and the car sounds amazing and much more Ferrari F1 style sound.
The car will light up the tires easily and the factory Ferrari racing is exhaust is only a muffler bypass pipes like any F430 exhaust and requires reprograming of the ECU.

I actually installed the exact Ferrari 360 challenge stradale exhaust and compared to a stock car its night & day better..........compared to a TUBI not any better and the same weight..........compared to a TUBI along with headers (no restrictive pre-cat) and HJS sports racing catalytic converters.........the combination is 100% better that just a rear muffler from any manufacturer.

Cruise by my website and you can hear everything. If you come to my shop you can drive my car and listen in person.

Can you guarantee no Check Engine Light by using any combination of your headers, test pipes, or hi fow cats along with your or any exhaust system without modifying the ECU? A simple yes or no answer would suffice. That pretty much my only issue - no one likes to drive around always wondering in the back of their heads that a check engine light is going to make its presence.. Reading many threads - its an iffy proposition.. A guaranteed yes or no answer would make a decision alot easier for everyone.. I love your test pipes and headers and would love to add that to the mix with my Race Exhaust - but I just need to know.. Not a lengthy explanation - just a yes or no.. Please.. Just looking for a straight up - honest answer minus the dancing.. Not saying that you do dance.. you've always been very helpful and have from what I see nice stuff and great alternatives for Ferrari owners so please do be offended or insulted by the question.. Just dont want the "well we havent heard of any check engine lights being related to our products after the install".. Is it a guarantee?

    With respect..

To be clear here, actually the Tubi exhaust is *heavier* than the Factory Race Exhaust.

360Trev, pretty much an authority on exhausts and Strads (having converted his manual modena), weighed all exhausts and the Tubi saves 5.7kg over stock, while the Challenge Stradale exhaust (Factory Race) saves 9.3kg.

    That's not an insignificant difference!

Obviously the Timate is the lightest exhaust for the 360, being made of titanium, but it's not for everyone as it's quite loud. My friend has one on his Modena and it's amazing, but would be too loud for a spider in my opinion.

As you say US cars are much more choked with all the extra cats and these exhausts really open up once you delete pre-cats and put in sports cats pre-muffler etc.

    Hi Robbie
I am away in park city Utah and just saw this email.

All North American Ferrari 360 cars are choked as there are 6 catalytic converters installed on Ferrari factory exhaust systems.
The USA Canada Ferrari 360 headers are 4 into 1 style with a precat jammed into the collector. The European Ferrari factory header is the same as USA Canada but Ferrari simply eliminated the cat.
Next each bolt on left and right stock catalytic pipe has two more restrictive 700 cell cats.

No matter what rear exhaust brand a Tifoso as or likes the real character and sports car sound is dictated by the choice of headers, catalytic converters or catbypass pipes installed on the car.

To answer your question on my car a 2003 360 spider I have fabspeed equal length race quality headers and HJS German 200 cell sports race cats and I ave no cel light. The car sounds amazing with a Tubi muffler, Capristo muffler or a Fabspeed Maxflo muffler. I have tried all these mufflers on my car and installed them all on many customers cars.

All mufflers sports car sound and power is enhanced by headers and sport cats. It's all a choice of components.

Cruise up to fabspeed and you an drive my spider and test and see everything. If you guys want me to post pictures of stock Ferrari 360 parts I can post too.
