Above and beyond: Cats Exotics

So I pick up my '02 Murcielago on Wednesday evening so I can drive it and get used to it before shipping it off to California for the start of Joy Ride Rally on April 21. And of course I'm logging some serious miles because everyone wants to see it. I notice a leak in the right rear tire, somehow I picked up something in the tire - gee could it be because the tires are 335's? Anyway it is only a slight leak and I go to my local Discount Tire store as all the employees are great clients of mine - they love getting tickets and in trouble and help me pay for my toys. They take the tire off and sure enough not only a nail, but some impact damage to the inner side wall as well. The manager tells me he can't get a tire until Tuesday at the earliest at a cost of the tire, plus overnight shipping.

I call Roy and guess what??? Yes, he happens to have the tire I need. Of course I want it NOW, but he is laying pool side with an elf or 2 because after all, it is a Saturday. I somehow convince him to leave that scene for a while and he shows up 30 minutes later with the tire. When he gets it out and gives it to the the guys he tells them when they order in a new tire to bill him, NOT me. What other dealer out there would rush over right away with a tire (that I was ready to pay overnight shipping on) and then tell you he is picking up the cost of the tire? Thanks again Roy!
