So the front brake pads for my 88 3.2 Mondial with ABS are the same as for a late 80's to mid 90's BMW 5-series - does anyone know if the actual calipers are the same as well?? Thinking of rebuilding the front and rear calipers this spring but might just buy new calipers if they're the same as the 5-series because they're really not that expensive. Looks like a very simple single (yes, single) piston floating caliper - not much to it at all. Thanks in advance.

    Hello? Anyone? Bueller?

Maybe I'll just pull a wheel and get an Ate part number and try to track it down....

If anyone does know something here it would be appreciated if you can share. Thanks in advance.

Wow, that's disgusting. Same as a Ford econobox?

That'll certainly make ordering rebuilds cheaper and more pleasant than the raping at the Ferrari dealer.

I'm ordering some 5-series BMW calipers to see if they are the same as the fronts. I think they are the exact same Ate caliper - will measure everything including the piston diameter and depth.

    Thanks.

I was pretty shocked when I discovered this too.
Yes, the front ATE are the same as BMW unit (old M3 I think)
Now you have a cheaper route available - enjoy the savings!
