I've posted this question on the 348 section, without success ... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=358722 Would anyone here have a clue?
Well, not quite........ I have a 95 F355 that use to throw an ABS error code--I had it looked at many times (more than 5) and the ABS computer was simply indicating an unknown error. We even tried swapping the ECU with another, no luck. When driving on absolutely smooth pavement, the ABS code would often be non-present for weeks at a time, but get on a bumpy road and it would show up within a few minutes. And the road did not have tobe very bumpy at all. The code would stay present for weeks and weeks even when the car was driven on smooth roads; unless the car was left sitting, without being started, for several weeks. After sitting for several weeks, the ABS code would "go away". Last year durring a major service, the shop installed the <famous> gold connector kit, and my ABS error has not returned since (over 6 months). {Knock on wood} This leads me to believe that one (or more) ofthe connectors in the engine bay associated with ABSing had suffered due to fretting corrosion. And it just took the bumpy road to set it off.
