ABS Switch

Should the dash ABS warning light come on when you switch the ABS off? Thanks

We, in the U.S., do not have the ABS switch. I would think that info should be in your Owner's Manual (Euro Version). Empirically, though, I would think it should, so as to act as a reminder that you have switched the ABS off (unless there is another warning light on the Euro F355 that I'm not aware of). If you don't have an Owner's Manual and the Repair Manual (on, e.g., CD-ROM), you should get them. They contain a lot of really good information, although there are quite a few misprints that you need to be wary of.

When the ABS is turned off the dash light comes on

 

Thanks to everyone for the replies. The car is in for an MOT and the mechanic is going to check it out. We think the bulb may have gone as the ABS light does not come on at all.
