Diagnosing fault on ABS wheel sensors. All the ABS checks out ok , but not getting any feed back at slow speeds from the wheel sensors. start car , abs light goes out start moving it comes on again and stays on. Put test rig on and wheel sensors dont register at slow speeds but if the car goes faster they all come in at approx 25mph. If it was just one i would think it was supect but all four? - any ideas. These should work regardless of the rest of the system Help Also the self test doesnt seem to work, but the box checks out fine on the test rig. ( mondial T)
John, Apologies but I can't give any advice... but I'd like to know how you tested the ECU on a test rig? I have a similar problem with my ABS (96 355) and would like to 'test' the ECU before I buy another.[ Regards, Pete QUOTE=Jon22]Diagnosing fault on ABS wheel sensors. [/QUOTE] I found a little man he has all the equipment to test everything on the car, the box seems fine, and the electrics too, everything checks out, but not the sensors looks like ill have to try some new ones... You can find these people, in the most unlikely of places, this guy works from a lock up , and its chaos but he knows his stuff and has loads of test computers, In darkest east anglia if you need him, but he is very busy.
Jon, I was about to send the ABS to a company in the UK for testing and re-build if needed. Does your guy 'fix' the ECU if it's bust? Address / telephone number please if you'd think he'd help a fellow Brit ... I'm from Geordie land. Try Ferraripartsexchange.com ... they just got parts car in. I will ask him if he can test / repair the unit off the car, as he has done all mine with car. DO you know what make the unit is, and do you have a wiring diagram for it ( workshop manual for car ). PM me Jon
