Soo i've had my new F355GTS gated for just about 2 months, and i just had to post/declare that i absolutely love it!.. Ive driven as much as i can, sometimes just for coffee, other times to see friends from CT to NYC. Its just a joy to drive, all the power you need, magnificent sound, handling, and a total neck breaker to crowds. Literally the total package

Thanks to all for convincing me to get it. I've put about 2500 miles on it already, i anticipate that pace slowing a bit now that i'm trying to wear off the "gotta drive it" emotions.

What are some maintence check points to keep in mind? (annual, etc).. It just turned 30k miles and had that major done with my huge initial investment to put the car on the road.

    Thanks and happy driving,

    Chris~

    Congrats and continue to enjoy!

With your major done, it should be good and clear of the big stuff for 4/5 years. That said...

    Yearly:
    Oil/oil filter
    Brake fluid
    Check quality/levels of other fluids

    Bi-yearly:
    Gear/trans fluid
    Coolant

    Happy driving...

Are there mileage indicators for the yearly/bi-yearly stuff? As some ppl may drive 1000miles for year and some 1000 miles/month.?

    Thanks

I'm sure there are, but I'd have to check my manual/warranty card. I put about 4k @ year on mine and oil hasn't seemed overly gunked up in the two years I've had it.

    Glad you're enjoying your car!

I change the oil once year. The system holds 10 quarts of synthetic which will be very tough to get to break down in less than a year no matter how many miles you put on it. If you're worried send it for oil analysis at blackstone, which is cheap, and change it based on that. However, you may surprised when it doesn't tell you to change your oil for 2 years...

If I'm going to the track, I just change the oil right before hand so it's fresh and then run it until next track day or it's been in there a year, whichever comes first. I've put around 4k a year on my car in 2 years.

Thanks Mike!, I'm certainly not in "in the black" on this guy, as i probably over paid a bit for it, (but it was the exact spec'd car i wanted--blk/saddle gts gated).. And with the valve guides, 30k service, and 3 new piston rings/liners, its not worth what i have into it but i don't care.. Its been the most fun on 4 wheels i've ever had and i'm looking forward to years of ownership ahead

    Take care
