This confirms it NSW = Nanny State Wonderland.. 'No helmet =no run' signs spring up on Bondi and Bronte | Daily Mail Online Image Unavailable, Please Login
From the report: "She suspects the signs are a Banksy-esque prank, but believes they strike a chord at a time Sydney is under oppressive regulations." And the website on the poster isn't real. But you know, believe without questioning if that's your thing.
The story doesn't at any point make the claim they are even real, so I'm not even going to call it fake news, more of a case of someone reading a headline, seeing a picture and then posting on an internet forum. It's quite obvious that they aren't real (well, they're real as far as they exist, and someone put them up, but to make some sort of point obviously).
Why let the truth get in the way of a fun story https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/34287540/joggers-must-wear-helmets-signs-appear-on-sydney-beaches/#page1
"local Waverley Council has yet to confirm or deny whether it placed the signs" Look at what we know, the website isn't real (.gov.au makes it federal, this is a NSW or local thing, meaning it would have .nsw.gov.au) Even without have to ask the council, a law would have had to pass (or whatever the local government equivalent is, I'm drawing a blank on the correct word to use on a Sunday morning). These are done in public meetings and would be voted in after discussion. The mere discussion of an idea would have been reported on by the media. And if it had gone under the radar, the rule will be on the books somewhere, if you really believe this story, there's something you can go find. Any information of the change would not appear on the day it came into effect, there would have been notices prior for education purposes. In short, if you believe this to be real, you're an idiot. If this is real, expect me to apologise, but that won't be happening. Or are you trying to play this off like you didn't ever believe it?
In some ways I would not be surprised if it was real, and with the way Australia is going with the whole nanny state thing this is only the tip of the iceberg. But as I said let's not let the truth get in the way of the good fun story, after all isn't that what this whole thread is about.
"This confirms it NSW = Nanny State Wonderland.." That was not the wording I would have used to lead us to believe you didn't believe it, but okay.
If you ask country NSWelshmen ( over the blue mountains) NSW stands for Newcastle Sydney and Wollongong

And YOU forgot to mention... navigators - they make an excellent deformable structure! They can also deflect flying debris, like side mirrors, etc.
That'll buff right out! Just as well it was concrete - if it was a tyre wall, it would have ripped the whole corner off.
that was my 2nd event with the car - a nut came off the rear swaybar link, next thing I'm a passenger as the car flies backwards across the grass, until the wall arrived... I now check those nuts before every race yes, tyre walls do more damage but if you go in forwards, you'll still have feet afterwards. Worst part of that accident was it broke a suspension mounting lug on the gearbox casing. I had to dismantle it completely so a specialist magnesium welder could make a jig and re-attach it. Luckily there's an old guy at Bankstown airport who repairs helicopter frames, learn't his trade in the Vietnam war.
indeed, that's why I'm very thorough when going through the car before an event, crack testing, new fasteners, etc. Running an open wheel car is a lot of work, but there is nothing close to it for driving sensation and pure adrenalin.
