So Alan Jones favoured Webber, Johnny Herbert favoured Button and Hamilton and so on. This championship is rigged!

Let's see. We want stewards with F1 experience but not with existing teams?
I'm sure there are a few but if Pirro is too partisan I expect there'd be objections to just about anyone.

Think we'd be pretty hard pressed to find a guest marshall
who didn't have an association or tie-in with an F-1 sponsor,
team, manufacturer et.al. as there is usually one degree of
seperation between many if them from F-1 through the
ranks to touring and sports cars.

On the other side of the coin, Emanuelle Pirro is one of
(if not the) most highly thought of competitors in sports car
racing, a gentleman driver in every sense of the word.

And, while we're at it, Pirro is Italian to the core, is
regularly seen driving Ferraris in vintage/historic events
(notably a 512M) and has an impressive collection of
Ferraris at his home near Rome.

    Thus ends the silliness.
