Its good that the schedule is getting more Grand Prixs. Bernie said the scheldule would stop at 20. This season there are 17, next year Imola will hopefully come back. Then in 2009, Abu Dhabi and India are supposed to be on the schedule. Bernie seems to be making a lot of promises for GPs hopefully he can fulfill all of them.

i find it extremely straight forward and boring. there are no challenging corners at all. unlike Istanbul, turn 8...

Not much character. Partly also because it is in the desert. Magny-Cours, Bahrain, Sepang and Shanghai are my most unbeloved tracks. Try driving them on a PS and you'll soon realize how artificial they are. That is if you can remember the turns.

Great news about Abu Dhabi. Combined with the new F1 Ferrari theme park, this will become a place for worship for any Ferrari fan. Can't wait to travel there.

Regarding the calendar, make no mistake: The addition of Abu Dhabi will mean that one European GP will get axed. Probably the 2nd Italian GP. My feeling is, that Imola and Monza will alternate just like Nuerburgring and Hockenheim will do.

How far is Abu Dhabi from the hustle and bustle of Dubai City?

I thought that Baharin had it in the contract that they had the rights to the only ME race?

I do like the selection of the tracks in more "glitzy" places.

I'am really not much off a fan off the Hermann Tilke tracks. When sepang was run in its 1st few years it was all fine, good overtaking chances, good viewing from the grandstands, and the weather was a big challenge for the drivers, very hot and/or very wet !

But now we have a whole host off featureless clone Tilkie tracks, and a few old circuits that have been modified by his team, i feel there all becoming the same and characterless, with maybe the exception of Turkey, which also is his newest track, i'am really hopping they have finaly figured how to make a real "drivers" tracks. But i'am afraid that the success of turkey might be down to the modulations in land it was bulit on in the 1st place, as much as the anything else. lets face it, eau rouge at Spa would be just anthor corner if it was on flat ground!

Some off the choices being made in track designs, selections and modifications seem very poor to me. Look what Hermann Tilke's team did to the old Hockenheim!! Hockenheim use to be one of a kind. You needed very low downforce for the long forrest straights(230mph), but also good grip for the stadium section at the end of the lap to get a good lap time. Now Hockenheim is just anthor standard set-up circuit.

Tilke's team are also responsible for the changes to the new Fuji circuit in japan, ok its a little unfair to put the track down before they have even raced there, but i can tell u know that it will be nothing like the challenge of Suzuka, which along with Spa is always what the drivers state as there fav tracks !

From what i have read about the Abu Dhabi proposed track, it sounds intresting "three distinct sections of the 5.6km circuit, including high speed areas ending in tight overtaking turns, a street section and a marina section" But i will wait and see what they come up with, this could all be them talking it up as normal !
