    Has anyone figured out what actually occured on Alonzo's last tire change? He entered the pits about 20 seconds ahead of Hamilton, had a fair, not good tire change, but exited about 5 seconds behind Hamilton. End of race.

    I cannot say with exact knowledge but if memory serves me I think it was an issue with the r/r tire/wheel.......

    He got held up coming in to the pits, in the pit entry lane.

    Alonso also admitted had the stop been quicker, he still probably wouldn't have beaten Hamilton.

    HRT was in front of him coming in that definitely slowed him down.

    Yeah, but his box time was long. Like 6 seconds. I think that was what killed him.
