    The engine is out & I just discovered that the AC compressor in my car is not a genuine Ferrari one. Instead it looks like it is a generic version that was made in China.

    I am not in any hurry to dismiss it as junk as we have seen some excellent alternatives that perform as good or better than OEM, but I am unfamiliar with this one.

    Anyone know anything about the AC compressors in the 355...and the aftermarket options?

    IIRC, Ricambi is now stocking a version that is made by the same company as the OEM one from Ferrari for far less money. The only difference is there is one or two extra pulley grooves which don't cause any fitment issues. Also, IIRC, the Ferrari AC compressor is NLA, unless the parts company have one in NOS.
