Based on the yelp and google reviews, not sure how this is going to end... but sourced an AC compressor from Cool Air Parts out of Arlington, TX. Looks like a compressor... at least the pully has the right about of threads.... arrived pretty quick, anyway will take it to Moorespeed on Tuesday to see about the dice roll...

How many grooves does it have? My old Sanden compressor had 5 grooves. I couldn't find a new Sanden with 5, so I went for a 6 groove Sanden. You just have to make sure that you choose the right grooves when fitting the belt.

Austin Rebuilders downtown rebuilds them quickly and cheaply. Usually 1 day turn around. I have never even considered replacing one.
The worst that usually happens it they leak like a sieve. And new vs rebuilt seems to have no advantage on that front.

I sent a unit to them several years ago. Excellent customer communication, fast turn around and very reasonably cost.

I ordered from them. They sent a compressor that fit but had the wrong pulley. On further investigation they scratched out the model number but did not change it to the correct pulley (see pic). Check out my swap thread for part numbers. You will see the part number they are using. The stock part number (ac company not Ferrari) is NLA so they cannot be selling you the original part.

I eventually got my money back.

IRRC I had to drill out one of the holes to get it to fit.

Mine was unmarked - waiting to hear back if it is going to work or not.
