Any clues why my blower stops working once my car hits a temp of 159F? Never lower. Blower won’t start again until it cools back down to below 159 and then will shut off again as soon as it gets back to 159 degrees

Ferrari dealer said it’s due to a bad defroster stepper motor which has been on order for a month or two but not expected to be delivered until early October

I’ve only identified that it happens at 159 degrees since getting my car back after diagnosis

Any insight? Figured you might have something since you nailed year and model

No insight and no knowledge of the Portofino's peculiarites. I just had to trawl through your message history to find out what car you were referring to.

On some Ferraris, coolant temperature sensor data is sent to the HVAC system, but I don't know why it would be linked to blower fan control (if at all). 159 degrees sounds very specific, so perhaps there is some logic (or logic failure) behind the issue rather than, say, engine bay temperatures affecting components (???). 159F doesn't seem particularly hot. It's not like the radiator fans would be coming on and loading up the electrical system.

I've seen temperatures affect the blink rate of my turn signals, but that was an earthing issue and the earth was above the radiator... and it wasn't at a specific temperature.

I have no manuals or wiring diagrams for the Portofino, so I can't look for clues there.
