My AC just quit. I am thinking it is a fuse. I checked the one under the footwell and it was ok. Is there another fuse for the AC somewhere?

It is probably the big fuse under the front trunk liner. I'll find the link in a moment.

Bob, is it giving out just one temp? might be something else in the L/H front access panel but i don"t think so. I had a problem in that it was stuck giving out only warm air, the problem is that there is a rotary motor under the front lining it is on the L/H side approx 6 inches in front of the windscreen wiper to check this peel back the liner and get access to the motor its a bosch part and can be located if you follow the water pipe back from the inlet for the heater matrix, disconect the motor from the water ball valve and check the function of the motor by turning the temp. selecter in the car if it is not working contact me again for what to do next. As if you go to ferrari for this part they will charge close on $800 for it ,I managed to source it for $66.

It doesn't do anything. It does not turn on anymore and quite suddenly so I think it is a fuse. Do you have to take out the whole trunk liner to get ot the fuse?

I removed my entire trunk liner, but I suppose you could peel back the RR corner (near the passenger A-pillar) to reach it. Be careful, because the liner is some cheap-ass fiberglass (surprise, surprise) and cracks easily.

It also happened very quickly to me it just stuck in one position I am fairly sure it is the motor.

This was how Chas told me to do it and it worked. The P/N for the motor is a SAAB part it is 9625435, the only difference between the ferrari part and this is the rotory shaft on the repalcement is longer just measure the old one and cut the shaft to match.Instructions on troubleshooting below with thanks to Chaa.
Bear in mind our N/S is your driver side.

Inside the front of your trunk on the N/S, take up the corner of ya carpet. Under it about 5 inches to the left of the fuse box and then 5 inches up from that point there is a Bosh controll motor unit. this unit has a while long type electrical connector on top of it so its easy to id. its also of a gold colour. This motor is held on via two screws which can be seen on to.
Now you have two choices here, but the simplest way is to get a pair of long nose mole grips (if ya working alone). On the bottom of this motor there is a valve that has a water pipe entering it from the front (from the bumper end) and the other water hose will connect to the other side. Use ya mole grips to squeeze the warter hose on the exit side/end (bulkhead side). This will shut of the water from entering the heater matrix so there for giving you cold air in your car. It sounds as though its ya controll bosh motor that has blown or the valve that connects to the bottom of the motor.
Its a simple fix of either freeing up the valve or replacing the bosh motor. I have the Bosh part number that i can give you via PM if ya need it. It will save ya loads if ya buy it from rip of ferrari.
MB: Once ya have taken of the moror you should be able to manualy open and close the valve by hand. If its stiff then thats what is broken, so ya looking at the motor.

I checked the fuses and they seem ok. The interior fan does not turn on either. Thanks for all the help.

If you've checked the long bullet fuse under the felt liner, and that's OK, then check to insure that your cables are properly connected to the A/C computer itself (buttons illuminated??). In the 348 that computer is in the vertical center console, but perhaps the 355 A/C computer is elsewhere.

I didn't check the long bullet fuse. Where is that fuse located? Is it under the front felt trunk near the windsheild with the other fuses? It does not show up in the manual.

No, it's not in the manual.

It's in your front trunk, under the felt liner, right side of car, near the ABS computer.

Here are 3 styles of it as seen in 348's...I expect the 355 style will be similar but not exact.

Do not look under the felt *panel* on the left side of your car. That's a fuse/relay block that has nothing to do with the hidden A/C long bullet fuse, which is on the right side of your car (U.S. passenger side) under the whole felt liner that you must unscrew to remove.

Found the long-2 inch long- fuse? It seems below the computer for the ABS. I opened it up and did not seem like it had a replacable fuse. Does the whole link get replaced?

I had the same thing happen recently on my 355. Fuses were fine and components did not appear to be failing, the system just stopped working. Turns out it was a failed connector attached to the system module in the front under the felt liner. I guess it is quite common - the connector is somewhat under rated for the load, and over time it fails. Replaced fitting and was back in business. Good luck!
