    AC switch ?
Hi guys after replacing the compressor ( like for like York / Aspera to ease fitting on existing mounts from eBay £288 ) which seems to fit well all lined up and connected .

The only way I can 12 V and thus make it kick in is to jump this as shown .

Jumping the pressure switch didn’t really work so I jumped both the pressure switch and this thermostat?
It the compressor kick in ( same old clutch transferred across a 12 v supply .)

I ran it for while and it cooled nicely the cabin . I had it vac tested and refilled according to the manual with 1.1 Kg of R 123 ? Something after installing the new pump .

It runs now with only the thermostat jumped and the pressure switch re connected .
With the thermostat thingy ( sorry don’t know the correct term ) connected the comp doesn’t get 12 v with the centre console AC on so doesn’t run .

What needs replacing ? And importantly what are the longer term consequences of running it with this jumper in place ?
    It works btw .

That 'thingy' is also a pressure switch, overpressure, I think. The car has separate over pressure, and under pressure switches. These days you can buy inexpensive high/low pressure switches (so called trinary switches) that look like the smaller pressure switch, except with an extra wire.

Arh , yes I can see it’s connected by its copper capillary tube .

I have a original owners manual buts it’s talking R12 and with only that the guys put in 1.1 Kg s of gas . Obviously not R12 as it’s long been discontinued here in the EU as well .
They put in the next one R123 ? But not the very latest stuff .

Begs the Q how much do I need ? Of the R123 ( the one after R12 )

They could have put too much gas in if the jumper is on the high pressure switch as you say , or this switch is knackered ?
Or conversely it’s the low pressure I have jumped ? But I doubt it .
