What sort of Max acceleration G's do you get on your Fcar, or any car? Just got an inexpensive accelerometer to play with. Haven't tried the fcar yet, but got a max .8 G's accel on another car, though cornering G's sucked on that car. I am curious what the 308 does for cornering. I can see where this could be a valuable tool for setting up a suspension. Doug
Here's some graphs ... street tires on the street not at the track. The first graph is linear acceleration ... the g's "peak" when the tires hook up ... I try not to launch like that too often ... 0-60 on that graph was 5.5 sec ... in a naturally aspirated 308 . The other graphs are a couple cornering g clips. cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
We have an accelerometer on the AA Fuel Dragster I pit on. The max Gs I've ever seen on it are about 3. That's 0 to 256 mph in 6.1 secs. I've never seen any lateral Gs - that would be bad! We also see -2.5G when the chutes open.
I once took my daily driver Saab 92X (basically the wagon version of a WRX) autoxing. It had a nifty stereo and GPS system that had a built in G meter. I was constantly getting max lateral g readings around 1.2 each run on street tires.
