Hi I am dealing with some rust issues and need to access behind this panel, does anyone have pictures from the inside of the engine bay of this area with the oil cooler removed. Ideally i am looking to remove the air duct and black fins to do a proper job with the rust which is coming from the inside out. Hopefully this is possible without removing the engine. Can anyone offer advice how to tackle this best who has done this job before? Image Unavailable, Please Login

Brilliant thanks guys, did the fins come out ok? On mine the rivets look like they were done from the other side. The new base panel is reasonably cheap to buy, looks like that’s the way to do a proper job giving access to properly clean up and remove all the rust inside.

Yeah the whole air duct comes out like above. So no need to fiddle with the rivets.

These I think are Blue Spruce but all of these pines are dying from the bottom going up. All planted in the 80s and dying now.
