It does. The Midwest Lamborghini newsletter claims that there are 194 lambos in Illinois. I believe there was around 100 gallardos and the rest spread across the model range.
So much for the "exotic flair" of Vettes and P cars. I wonder how many Saleems and Lotuses (Loti) there are?
What date was that issue on? To date, I have only seen a handful Ferrari's, couple Lamborghini's, hundreds of Porsche and Corvette's, few Vipers and one silver Ford GT! I'm dying to see the list of registered exotics in California. That would be really surprising!
479 seems WAY low for Ferraris. Maybe too many are sitting un-registered on blocks in garages awaiting repair money? Maybe I should duck out now? '93 Carrera 4 daily driver '83 928 S euro toy '97 Z3 2.8 on stands in garage awaiting time available to install clutch
I think there are more Corvettes here than in California. It would be interesting to see how that breaks down per capita. Also it would be more useful to see how that compares to average annual production. I think they current build about 35k Corvettes a year. I gather the numbers are about 100k(?) Porsches and 5,000 Ferraris. Maybe I'm taking it too seriously...
Uncle of mine used to be a serious Vette collector, always came for the Bloomington shows with a car or two. Said (in the late 80s/early 90s) that the midwest had more vettes per capita than anywhere else. Don't know about that now, but there are lots of 'em.
