i looked at the display of threads tonight and I see my handle too many times on too many threads. I feel like a hog or something but all I'm trying to do is to keep this forum active by participating every chance I get. I don't want to look like I'm the only one playing the game even if I do enjoy it. Many people have posted a lot of interesting things so I hope that it continues. It would be fun if we could all get together somehow but that's not gonna happen so I hope there is plenty of activity coming up.

I wouldn't worry about it.... I'm on another site that is proliferated with people that post many page long messages, (I'm one) and some people "Quote" the previous message, with each reply. This has been going on for years now, and no problems have arisen.
There's not a limit on how much space one may use in a forum. It takes thousands of messages to make a dent in the storage space.

The good thing here, is ......
Just like a newspaper you don't have to read everything...
People can ignore the things that they find :
boring, of no interest, too long, repetitious,

Your activity here is much welcomed!
    If you didn't write, whomever would I answer?? :) :) :)

As for us all getting together, you may be right. However, I have
visited friends made on another site, who were a day's drive, or so, away from New Jersey.
No reason for folks here, not to do the same thing.
Another idea is to have regional get-togethers that can easily be flown to.
Say..... a weekend at the Boeing factory..... Or a nice summer picnic.
Elsewhere these get-togethers have turned into annual meets! Folks have even
convoyed, meeting others on the highway, from half a continent away to make a meet.

    It's not an impossiblity!!!

    Here's an idea.....
If you have the time, you could arrange something in your area,
advertise it here, and see who comes..... It doesn't have to be a fly-in...
maybe just some local foks driving in for the afternoon, for some local
"munchies of the day" at the local watering hole...
You may get two or three to come, but then again,
    it might out-do your expectations.....

All of us know at least one person who would enjoy this site, but have not had a chance to email them to tell them about it.

    Just do it!

BTW - I agree with SWITCHESOFF. I never had aspirations as a post whore, but I do think the site is worth some effort to make it successful.

On the other hand - as us lawyers are always saying - its an awfully busy time of year for most people. I'm trying to get my office in shape to be gone for a week, and year-end deadline stuff is mounting to a great crescendo - I'm beginning to stress out already and its a Saturday morning!

I'm going to send that email now though - before I do another thing!

Okay, I'll keep saying my stuff that I have accumulated for 75 years that did start with my mother taking us to the old Hoover Airport in Washington, D.C. where we watched airplanes coming and going in 1931. She loved it and I guessed it rubbed off.
I did indeed go to that Christmas dinner with my son, Spasso, and rubbed elbows with a gorgeous lady by the name of Deanne, much my younger , but nevertheless lovely , intelligent, and very engaging, and married to a guy who ownes a Ferrari 275.. I chatted with many very nice people and went on the tour in the Museum Of Flight, with which I had many things to do before it became the world class operation that it is now. It was a wonderful night listening to Joe Sutter, the father of the 747, and talking to Ferrari people. Dana and I said several times, " Wouldn't it be great if Sparky could be here." And we thought, too, any other person who loves good machinery. We were in the midst of a collection of historic aviation machinery and listened to a legend who was the prime instrument in the design of the world's greatest airliner. And I helped get it out the door......and every one that preceded it.
Don't mean to brag but I really was there.

I've given many tours at the Boeing factory in years past but I'm no longer there and my old landing gear wouldn't cope with it any more. They have scheduled tours at the company tour center and it is a good one, the top tourist attraction in Seattle area. I would welcome anyone at my home who visits this area and I'm certain that Spasso would do the same. This area has too much to see and do when it comes to aviation and exotic cars. This place is full of them.
I do enjoy chatting with everyone and I like to share the things that have come my way so I hope that it isn't boring.

I noticed that you are in the UK. You lucky guy. My wife and I went to London in 1992 on a tour that was a retirement present from my brother and we absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. What a lovely country and friendly nice people. I only got into two fights. Not really.
I have had some experience with Englishmen in the past. During the war we had British aviation cadets stay at our house on the beach every weekend. We invited them from Clewiston, Fla. where they were in flight training. Of the twelve that came to stay with us only one survived the war, a Lancaster pilot. He ended up in a psycho ward of a hospital. Things were tough in 1941-42. My mother referred to them as " My boys."
    Are you near London ?
I hope that Christmas is good for you and your family.

Odly enough I can be spotted just outboard of and below the No.2 engine of the A-12. White hair, white shirt, black sweater, smile on my face, broken right front tooth, pimple on the end of my nose.

That really is me as far as I can tell. That is where Spasso and I were standing. Great shot of a great museum.

OK guys and gals - we need some enthusiasm here from some of the new blood. Lots of good people and info hanging around, and lot's to talk about.

Corporate aviation is on a tear. Business has been completely ham-strung by the airlines and TSA so they have no choice.

Let's hear from some of you!
