I was at Goodwood and got to see the McLaren do the hill climb. It looked super-fast and sounded amazing. Got to sit in it (the yellow one in the McLaren stand) and it was really nice inside too.
Also that "black" one is a color I believe they call Amethyst Black which has is a very dark purple that looks black in the shade but shows a rich purple color with direct light shining on it. It looked amazing in the bright sunlight. I took some photos but I don't have them on this iPad however, here's a photo I downloaded from the Internet of that car and you make out some of the purple on it. This picture doesn't really do it justice but you can see the purple a bit.
