When I listened to his rant on OWS last week, I never thought it would be picked up like this. Glenn Beck had a thing about it a couple of nights ago too.

Honestly, this isn't one of his best rants, and I don't mean from the basis of being entertaining or funny. Carolla has increasingly relied on his schtick of how rich guys pay for everything and that the world should bend to his will with the implied reason being because he pays for everything. But if others shouldered more of the burden he wouldn't be able to go off as easily and maintain his "rich guy" persona.

Most people he goes off on either work for him or are providing a service he is paying for at the time (waitresses, barbers, etc). Ten minutes later then to be telling stories about how he worked terrible construction jobs before show business and grew up poor in North Hollywood. It makes one or the other positions seem a little disingenuous.

Taking his childhood stories at face value it seems unlikely he would have basically zero empathy for the "worker class" of people represented in OWS. But it does frequently make for funny podcast.

I like part of the message (personal responsibility), but A.C. frequently contradicts himself in the general sense.
