Thinking about adding another car to the garage but im torn. I miss my 348 but also wouldn't mind adding a covertible. I have found both a 348 ts and 355 convertible that fit the need. Was see what peoples options are. Already have a 308 gtb, 355 gtb and 360 coupe fyi. Thanks in advance.

I’m considering selling my 348. 348’s are supposed to be more reliable and more visceral than the 355. But, 348s take tlc to get there. 348s are uncut diamonds.

Mine is a complete passion project rebuild. Lots of receipts and build photos. 355 brakes and gearbox components. 360 wheels for performance (originals wheel, brakes, steering wheel, etc included). 348 challenge internals, injectors, and tune = 9,000 RPMs… Shifts into second smoothly, even when cold! I spent lots of time finessing the shift linkage. Ernie has a thread on this gearbox that he rebuilt; I bought the car from Ernie and Ernie bought it from my friend who restored it nut and bolt.

    Green, wrapped red.

Have you driven a f355 gated or f1 and the 348 you had previously how did you like it

Too me they are 2 different rides and I like the 348 but a gated 355 is really fun to drive too
The F1 355 is good too but for me it’s gated all the way and yes TS or convertible is a must

348 is way more visceral than 355. However, you have to do basic work/mods to a 348 to make it shine. Stock, 355 is better. After upgrades, 348 is better. Imo, also, I’m right… 348 doesn’t have power steering or traction control. In my opinion, lol

Yes I’m not hating on 348 and do like it a lot and also enjoy the power of a 355 both still are different and depending on your preference that is what you go on if he had a 348 in the pass maybe he should drive a 355 for a while to see if that’s what his is looking for in a car

Me I’d take a 348 convertible or TS

348’s are capable of a lot of power. A guy on fchat got like 120whp by changing just the intake manifold and exhaust. Totally custom design though. My 348 moves and is built with internals, injectors, tune, exhaust, etc. As fast as my e46 m3 smg but 348 has way better driving experience of course.

Not without new EM and injectors and what not, I highly doubt that. The intake manifold is 20k I know it can't recall off top of head.

No don’t blow it up —-please it’s too expensive too repair lol—— yes power can be made with 348’s and they are no slouch to begin with but stock 355 was more

Not sure if he wants too add performance or just looking to have a driver as is
