NEWS HEADLINE: Local police seize cars during national import show, cars crushed, exhibitors file lawsuit
Since I added the 1st response, Here is my latest addition. 350-horsepower engine - $10,000 fines and other penalties - $5,000 Actually Believing your Import Ricer Could beat a "Corvette or even a Ferrari"----"PRICELESS"
As much as I dislike street racing, crushing their cars is wrong. First of all, if they're saying the parts were stolen, shouldn't the rightfull owner get those parts back? If someone stole the engine out of my car and i found out the police found it, realized it was stolen, then destroyed it purposefully, id be suing the police for a brand new one. Giving the police the ability to destroy a person's vehicle for what basically amounts to a traffic violation is wrong. What's next? Destroying cars for speeding? How about illegal parking? It's the start of incrimentalism and it can be abused over time.
