I've seen some past threads on upgrading to a sandel compressor. My old york seems to work ok. I think the main problem is that the vents just blow into the upper part of the passanger compartment. The newer GT4's have a vent just to the left and below the glove box. Is there a kit which puts a vent there aftermarket?
It looks like there should be easy access to the a/c hose or duct leading up to the three vents. I'm not looking for perfection, just to bring some of the cooler air below my face. Any ideas?

thanks read it, it didn't seem particularly helpful. the parts seem mostly internal, new pipe union, new expansion valve, new thermostat; didn't see anything about the new vents themselves or the ducting necessary to connect to it (or would that be the new pipe union: 265/10 at b)); where do you get all that stuff? and how long does it take? I presume that after it's done, the old three vents up top still work? right?

About a year ago we supplied a customer the parts for the update, do you have a list of part numbers so that I can check our stock?

Ferrari UK tech, once the parts list is compiled, put me down for a set of those same parts. I believe the 1976 GT4's onwards had the upgrade.

    Hi Rick et al,

My bad, the modification is described in Service Bulletin 84-1, not in the Tech Bulltin pdf. On http://dino308gt4.com, in Downloads, get the 1980 Service Bulletin file, page 43 in the PDF lists the part numbers and procedure.

The change applies to cars before SN 12180 (my car is Jan 20, 1976 SN 11966 & does not have the change)

    Gerrit
