Looking to add an Alpine 8” subwoofer in a thin box behind the passenger seat of my 488 GTB. Is there anywhere to tap in to high-level radio inputs to send a signal to the amp?

Scuderia Audio makes a subwoofer system specifically designed just for the 488 GTB that provides 100% seat clearance. They use 100% OEM matching Ferrari 488 leather and stitching. They've sold dozens of complete systems for the 458/488/F8 and will help you with all of the installation details.

Thanks for the information. I’m specifically asking about the signal for the amp.

The best way to do this is to tap into the speaker wires coming out of the JBL amplifier that is located behind the climate controls. For best results, you want to reroute the signals into a DSP, clean up the signal, then run them through another (aftermarket) amplifier.

Does your car have the standard or the upgraded JBL system?

Jut read the thread. I am looking for a similar solution for the 488. With standard equipment. Are there any speaker upgrades possible without splicing wires and fitting in the standard slots?
