Yes, I have. Rob, the FAQ is one person’s opinion and does not allow for interaction. Also, as a 4 time concours winner and a moderator and contributing editor for a detail sight, I do not agree with all of it.

Much of detailing is subjective. It’s like arguing which is better - blondes or brunettes.

Re: Too many forums. I agree. But do we need Bus and investment, Cars and motorcycles and Politics on a Ferrari web site? Care care has more relevance to Ferrari than all 3 of those combined. Just one OT forum would be enough and those topics should be consolidated.

OK-I'm off the soap box now :)

Not a complaint, just comments on things I think would make this site better. A Car Care forum under OT would reduce threads like which "wax is best" that periodically come up under Gen Disc or Tech...it would also reduce Bruce's blood pressure - LOVE YA BROTHER BRUCE

Being a new Ferrari owner, I vote: YES. While I currently own 5 sports cars, until now I have never had a really "valuable" classic car, a nice leather interior, or a black exterior, etc. I have a half doz questions in my head right now.

I took a look at the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section and now that I know it's there it might seem like a good place for this idea, but I think most people don't know it's there so it's not as popular. And (sorry, but) I don't have time to create the list of threads I want to nominate to the topics, I think it should be more automated than that.

I agree with the comment that one or two comments aren't what we look for. When I punch up Ext/Int Car Care I wanna see like 20 threads, not one or two. Otherwise, perhaps like others, I'll ignore the FAQ section and scour the threads for what I'm looking for. And it's this "scouring process" the FAQ section is supposed to eliminate. If there's still a benefit to scouring, then I'll ignore the FAQ section.

To properly kick off the FAQ section I would suggest you pick 5 or 7 topics and connect 10-20 threads to each topic. That would show that it's a serious section of the website, otherwise it'll be visited once, then ignored.

    Best!
    Wes
