    Anyone trying to add an OEM grill and front camera? I see on a part site that the front grill with camera is available and wondering if they can just swap out the existing grill and wire it up and if there are any downsides to this.

    It's definitely possible, just a matter of parts and install (and cost). The harness is pre-wired, the dealer will have to update and set the infotainment to recognize the camera. A customer of our dealer had a little front end "incident" and used it as an opportunity to do this.

    FWIW, we have successfully lived w/o the front camera on our FF's and F12. In spite of the mile-long hood on both, we were just careful until we had the right "sight picture" when pulling into parking spots. Call me cheap, but the front camera option was a bit overpriced.

    In contrast, I would not want to live without the parking sensors F/R and the rear camera.
