I saw this set of spacers from Formula Dynamics that i am considering...

    http://www.formuladynamics.com/products/308_wheelspacers/308_wheelspacers.php

15mm for fronts and 25mm for the rears, will this make the tires stick out too much and will it make any difference in the driving feel of the car?

I currently have 225/50/16 fronts and 245/45/16 bridgestone potenza tires ,I am just concerned this will bring the the wheels out too far??

    Any comments...
    Thanks

Might depend on which (who's) wheels you have on the car. Maybe also talk to Hills/Ricambi - they have a range of spacers in different thicknesses.

Not usually a good idea to move the centerline location of the front tires -- the steering geometry is (specifically) designed based on a given location. You've got a little more flexibility at the rear, but 308 rear axles are already a little notorious for breaking and increasing the overhang will increase the radial loading on the outboard bearing. As mentioned above, if you move the front wheel out, with a spacer, you will also increase the effort required to turn the wheel, like in a parking lot. It also increases the wheel's leverage on the bearings, both front and rear.

If you are using sticky, particularly bigger tires, you are also increasing the load on the bearings F/R and the stub axle, as well, (which has been known to break on the track with big sticky tires).

Now, if you are just cruising, not blasting full tilt around the track, you can probably get away with it. Parking lot/low speed maneuvering will also take more muscle.

By increasing the track width F/R, you will definitely give the car better grip. But if you are really pushing the car with big stickies, you probably don't want to take the risk of hub failure.
