    Hello forum!

I’m doing a clutch service on my 360 (with F1 gearbox) very soon, and I’m hoping you can advise me on what else I might consider swapping out/replacing during the clutch service, that is only accessible when the car has its transmission taken out! (The car has 25K miles on it)

(I watched a video where Aldous from AV Engineering spoke about what he usually looks for, ages ago and can’t find his video any longer)

So far for the service, I plan on replacing…

    1. The clutch/pressure plate assembly (clutch plate, pressure plate, and flywheel)

    2. Clutch release bearing

    3. Pilot bearing

    4. Clutch Position Sensor

    5. Gearbox 0-ring

    6. And the rear main seal

But while the car is taken apart, what else should I consider changing?

Bushings? Mounts? Gaskets, seals, Etc? Or maybe consider performing some other big service at the same time?
    Thanks

The topside trans bushing is a good candidate for replacement. There are also 2 on the bottom but those don't seem to be changed as often from what I've gathered.

One of my half shaft boots has a tear and the other is bulging, so I'll be re-booting those when I do my clutch. Was told that the heat from the cats can shorten their life. Probably not worth messing with if yours look good.

You could also change the heat exchanger or swap in new headers or exhaust parts.

I was considering replacing the F1 pump and F1 accumulator. Are those often replaced at the same time as the clutch?

The accumulator is a wear item but can be changed at any time but nothing wrong with doing it at same time .. inexpensive item

If the pump motor sounds ok and pump up times after accumulator change is around 3-4 seconds you should be ok. The pump motor can be changed fairly easily with even opening up F1 fluid system. The pump would make a distinct sound when it starts to go.

When do you change out the F1 Pump for a new one? I've read so many different opinions. Some say to do it every 3 to 5 years. Others say to "listen" to it. And others say it's okay as long as it doesn't engage for very long after opening the driver's side door.
When is it time to replace the F1 Pump and/or the F1 Pump relay?

Changing relay every 3 years is a good practice or when you had any issue that caused the pump to cycle more than every few mins (e.g. bad accumulator )

Pump motor..when either you hear it whine or sound like it is suffering or when the recovery time is more than 3 to 5 seconds with a new accumulator

Pump ..shouldn't have to change unless you burned it out with a weak accumulator or a stuck relay causing motor to run too much or running dry. If you see metal in the fluid ..you would need to change pump, filters, reservoir, motor and if course fix the issue that caused ou.o to burn out
