Additional Watkins Glen FCA activities

I want to make sure to inform all of you of a few other activities happening during our Labor Day weekend with FCA at Watkins Glen. Perhaps you have friends and family who might want to participate in some of the other activities around the race activity at the track. These are good events to add to the weekend particularly if you are staying in Corning.

Below is some basic information.



Rally:

On Saturday, September 1st, there will be a rally from Corning to the WGI racetrack.

The route will lead participants through the very scenic Finger Lakes region which is simply breathtaking at this time of year.

Upon arrival at Watkins Glen, the rally participants (pre-registration necessary) will be served lunch and given the opportunity to drive a few paced laps on the track and watch the race(s).



Parade of Race Cars/Market Street:

In the early evening on Saturday, after the tracking/racing, race car owners will be encouraged to drive their cars behind a police escort to Market Street in Corning where the cars will be displayed together with a large number of Ferrari street cars for the annual People’s Choice Award. Market Street will be closed off for this occasion and becomes “Party Central” with a lot of local and regional spectators in attendance. There will be a cocktail party and a Jazz Band will entertain the crowd.

Sunday morning at 7:30 AM the police escorted convoy of race cars will return to WGI. Secured overnight parking will be provided.
