any f-yakkers hanging around the paddocks chugging VB and picking fights with bogans with ciggy packets up their sleeve?

i can hear the cars out my window, i'm thinking of going tomorrow (friday) or saturday. not a big fan of the taxi's, but can watch them for a beer or two at a time.

mate with a gold and pit pass (team dynamik) might be able to get me in that area for a gander, otherwise i'll just be wandering aimlessly from beer stall to food stall until i'm bored or can't walk.

i just want to see the nations cup and the little aussie racing cars, and perhaps some grid-chicks. anything else is a bonus.

    WTF?

i just went looking for the schedule of events, apart from the ARC, formula ford, and historics, it's all frickin bogan cars... i couldn't see mention of nations cup or anything.

i don't keep up to date with racing calendars, i just like watching them when i happen to stumble across them, but why are there no interesting cars appearing at the adelaide 500???? :(

sheesh, no wonder it hasn't been mentioned here yet, think i'll stay home and werk instead...

They were running last year at the Clipsal, but haven't even updated their website to 2005. Are any ProCar series even running anymore!?!?!?

Nope. All dead and buried, and even heard unofficially that the proposed GT sportscars is dead... so it's just the state rounds... of which there are plenty and we've already done Mallala with 2x 360C's and next time there'll be a 360 GT running too.....

driver's don't look preety and sound nice, their grid girls (sometimes  ) fulfill half this requirement....

i highly respect their racecraft and all, but i'm not a fan of any particular driver, it's the cars i'm interested in. put amanda vanstone in a lambo and i'll watch all day, get Fangio in the hotseat of a taxi and i couldn't care less.

    A: vanstone wouldn't fit in a lambo
B: fangio can't drive he's dead, as a matter of fact is vanstone alive?

somebody bring back Bart, we think he's alive

Ash Ash Ash, you elitist bastad :)

I went yesterday (thurs) minus the flanny wifebeater, cigs and thongs. But I did indulge in some free Crown Lager in the Corp Box (its the best they can do).

Was located on turn 3 I think (first 90deg) on the inside, I was frankly pissed and dissapointed when I looked at the guide and their was no nations Cup. They were probably the best cars circling the 500 circuit (except maybe for the 1960's GP cars the first year of the clippy).

I go because I get the ticket for free and I love racing, good to watch how the hacks take the lines as opposed to the real racers + the atmosphere is pretty good, nice promo girls everywhere, day off work, better then nothing. I prefer friday and saturday more then sundays, wayyyyy to many ppl in all areas.

Have you guys seen the M3's shunt today? 190km/h impact at the end of Dequetiville terrace, sickening but the driver lived. Was just yesterday was nosing around that car and now its a very expensive peice of scrap metal.

    Bolts??

This is the first Clipsall I've missed since I've been here (2000). Last year I was crew on the then Green 550 GTS which did some serious entertaining, I think those that saw it will agree. (it also went faster than those V8 wobble boxes)

It is a shame, but I think in the long run, when it does get going again it will be stronger.

Who's M3 crashed...... I haven't seen the entry. I guess i'll go to natsoft and work it out.

Berick Lynton it seems, judging by the results sheets.

Hope he's alright, but I'd imagine the car will get replaced.

Saw it on Ch 10 tonight, they intimated brake failure. Would seem the likely cause.

BTW, does anyone know if there will be coverage of production car race that was formerly GT-P?
