    Been waiting for these. :)

Of course, I have 7+ years and 50,000+ miles on the original design, and that's only the 2nd set of belts ever on my 328. The originals aren't _that_ bad :D

I'll respond to a few questions here, as this has been a open development there have been those who helped out early on. Paul was helpfull about 2yrs ago when this got underway, he's also been quite patient with me for the early 308's. seems there was also a problem with the shaft dia and his current set will not fit on the drive shaft, it has not been a problem on the later engines, neverless I'm going to get that fixed and have a solution to the early engines. I've been working with another engineer on the idea and what can be done is this, I'll have sleeves made from steel that will fit into the bearing oil seal on the early timing case. this sleeve will allow the use of the injected drive pulleys on the early carb'd timing case. the sleeve will fit on first then the pulley.

I'll get some rendering drawn up in the next day and post them on monday to show exactly what I'm talking about.

    Paul you have a PM.

On sohc 12s perfect cam timing takes skill and experience and rewards in crisp throttle response.I can tell quickly when its off as the motore is flat but feels smooth on and off the throttle.Properly timed sohc 12s are extremely sensitive to throttle, twitchy and rippy. My question is how much better is one able to dial in the 308 cams, how much deviation is normal for stockers? With the cis ,can you feel more crispness in throttle response? How much do they weigh vs stock? Thanks for making such nice pieces available, the Factory should have known better than slappin jap 4 banger junk on what is supposed to be a race engine.

they weigh about half of the stock parts. with CIS the throttle response is heavily muted so you're not going to really feel it. you can dial in the timing dead on if you spend the time or get it close 1/2* or so.

I PM'ed Scott over two months ago that I would be sending my pulley's out to him to be rebored. Delivery was attempted, notice left. I sent a PM, was told they would be picked up. Two weeks later I noted the package was still sitting at the PO, sent another PM. I explained that if the package was not picked up, it would be returned to sender. Scott PM'ed me back that he really didnt need my pulleys (unless there was a problem with them) and he would just let Post Office return them to me as undelivered. Incredulous now, I never responded. Another two weeks go by and I called PO to ask what the situation with the package was, sat on hold a while...was told they were going to throw the package out as someone had put it in the wrong bin. They shipped it back to me that day. As of today I have still not seen any spacers.

I have been patient beyond measure, maybe thats my problem. Maybe if I had spoken up right away thing's would be different. When I got the pulleys they were just loose in a box, and a few are chipped from shipping. Even though I sent engine numbers, somehow I got later style pulleys. Early cars have oil bath drive bearings, with an external oil seal, and the pulley has a stub that runs under the seal and up against the outer bearing. Not that it would matter much, as they arent bored correctly and wouldnt fit ANY Ferrari, but certainly not mine. Scott never made any pulleys for the early cars. Then I was told a new style pulley was going to be designed that would work on the early engines, months passed. Then I was told he scraped that idea, now some kind of spacer would be supplied. I waited, and waited... All I have after two years is $1200 worth of paperweights. I felt that once Scott had mine back, I would talk to him about just supplying me a new updated set for my trouble. I absolutely hate, beyond any measure having to bring this out in the open or make a big deal out of it. But I told Scott a while back that I was starting to get extremely irritated about this, and he responded he would take care of it, and his post I quoted above was his response. I really thought I would have this resolved once and for all.

I can only hope everyone else who bought into this has had better luck than I have had. Right now I want a new set of pulleys that fit, with spacers, and ill ship these back frieght collect, or paypal me back my investment. Sorry I have to vent.
