Adjusting front hood mechanism for easy closing?

Do you close it from the middle? The hood on the F355 is quite light and not too stiff, so a good push in the center should make it latch on both sides.
I used to just put it down and latch one side, and walk around to push the other corner. It get's annoying.

 

Here's what I do on my 348 - it probably should apply to the 355 as well - I always close each side of the car separately. I put my palms astride each other on the section of hood just above the latch and push firmly down. Go to the other side and repeat. I never push from the leading edge of the hood or the center - I was told you can bend the metal there. I also don't drop the hood down.

For the rear, i just gently close the trunk and again push firmly down on the trunk just above the latch.

I was told to use this technique by a really knowledgeable guy here.

 

Interesting?, sometimes I have a problem opening the hood. The left side opens fine but the right side seems not to release completely when the hood latch is pulled. I was told this may be due to a stretched cable since the latch is lubricated properly.
