I had the courage to tell my wife I slept with her sister. (it was a mistake) ...... she did NOT forgive me!
I can't rest when someone I care about gets screwed. I'm the guy a good friend can call at 3am to get on a plane. F that guy! He's got no morals and no balls! How's that for arrest? (no pun intended)
I thought I made a mistake once, but I was wrong. Seriously though, I admit when I make mistakes all the time, sometimes I explain the logic behind my mistake, and sometimes I say I just plain f*cked up, sue me or shoot me. Darth: my PROBLEM is I had a large contingent of 'good' friends that, over the last 40 years, always call ME first for help: to bail them out of jail (DUI's), bring them gas, a pump-jack to change a tire on the freeway at 3am when it's snowing, fix a toilet, give them a ride somewhere 200 miles away, you name it, but if I need help, funny how most of these guys are nowhere to be found... when I went thru my divorce, ONE was around to just listen. Consequently, my 'large contingent of good friends list' has been cut down to about five, from about fifty....
At 76, I have made lots of mistakes. It is best to admit them to yourself and try to learn from them so as to not make the same mistake again.
