    The "Ferrari engine in a boat" thread got me thinking...

    If you had to bet you life on a boat motor (or twin) for an off shore rig, what brand would you choose? I mean life and death.

    Some type of BIG Cat or Detroit diesel... cummins would work too. But a pair of diesels and your failure rate (considering the ability to scavenge parts from one another) should be near zero.

    Although I did build a little wooden boat in 1982.

    For a boat, I'd trust an S3G core 3 or an S5W - and I DID trust 'em with my life on a couple of submarines (boats)! :)
