Hi all, I joined the Ferrari family when I purchased an 812SF several months ago and now hooked. I have been considering an F8 (I would be trading a 992 GT3 and a 992 Turbo S). 900 miles Options below: Rosso Scuderia Apple CarPlay -Adaptive Frontlight System -Red Brake Calipers -Full Front Protection Film -Carbon Fibre Side Air Splitter -Carbon Fibre Racing Paddles -Carbon Fibre Drive Zone+LEDS -carbon Fibre Dashboard Inserts -Suspension Lifter -Horse Stitched on Headrest -Titanium Exhaust Pipes -'Scuderia Ferrari' Shields -20" Dark Forged Wheels -Passanger Dislay -Electrochrome Rear-View Mirrors -Daytona Racing Seats Asking $430k, MSRP $350k. Is that reasonable? I am looking around and asking seems to be around there but no clue as to transactional prices. Thanks!
Just a quick review of the 80 or so available F8 coupes on Autotrader, that asking price is right in line, seems to get closer to the original MSRP the car will have 8000+ miles on it. Also noticed, by looking at the carfax reports, that many of the sub-2000 mile examples have been for sale less than 2 months, so, it seems they are moving fairly quickly... you might try putting in a lower offer but they will likely "make it up" by under-valuing your trades. If your state has sales tax credit for trades I think your best bet would be to maximize your trade-in value and accept their price or maybe put in an offer for 420K, that way you save on the back end by paying less, if any, sales tax.
This is peanuts but if the full front PPF isn’t factory and was done by a high end PPF shop, that was 2500+ that’s not on the sticker.
As an 812 owner and F8 owner, I was very pleased with the addition of the F8 to the garage. It is a great complimentary car to the 812 in my opinion. As for that car, you'll want to get PPF on the side skirts and behind the rear wheels at minimum. I've seen some side skirt paint absolutely destroyed on an F8 without PPF on the side skirts.
Tough two to give up, as they are both spectacular and not redundant IMO. I understand the allure of the F8, as I’m an owner, (have a GT3 as well) but that’d be a tough trade in for me personally. But…I always say….if it’ll make you happy…go for it !. I think the price is aggressive and you can do better, + I wouldn’t let them kill you on the trade…those cars are still holding pretty strong.
